That brought back some memories, I was with Schenck out of the Torrance yard in the mid 80's, and back for the San Fernando Valley - United build in the late 80's. Man we had fun building new systems, people wanted cable and were happy to see you. Walnut Creek is one of the systems I currently work in, was the city hard to deal with back then?
