I hear you Funnyfarm....I don't know who these installers work for,, but I been in the industry for decades,, true I have never did contract installs, 'cause that's the installers job...I only got screwed one time and that was by Farter on the Bogalusa job after Katrina. I have always been treated decent and taken care of well. And if the thought ever entered my mind that I wasn't,, I just quit, and went to work elsewhere. No big deal.
