well i dont know about satelite but the cable installs have gone down hill......its mainly the companies you get your work from they are getting 60 percent of the money that the cable company pays them for the work....yet you do the work supply the truck and tools insurance ....the cable company supplies the materials....that sixty percent pays for all that paperwork and high salaries for office personel and supervisors....its the trend in this country for all business's doing exactly the same thing....maybe its time for you techs to form a union....the companies are demanding more work for less pay...twice the paperwork they want you to be certified and your pay is going down
