You forgot that ComCast and AT&T are partners, they merged back in 2002 so at least 1 cable company is not going anywhere.
Also most if not all wireless companies use at least some portions of cable companies infrastructures to carry their signal. Those joint partnerships is what has allowed for the wireless companies to expand so rapidly and the development of 3,4 and 5G technologies.
Without coverage the best wireless device is useless and with out the cable MSO's all the wireless companies would be without a large part of their backbone.
