The company that will potentially hire you, needs to see if you are who you say you are. You need to prove that you are worth the money. There are also transition periods, each company has its own way of doing paperwork and how to call in and get equipment. I would take the job prove to them you are what you say you are, then you will be fine. The part about the rate depending on your SOI score is pretty much spot on. Most companies now pay on a grade.
