I'm in Chicago, We were told the exact same thing here. When I 1st started with Smart Circle I thought that this is a dream No more HSP crap. I just checked and the owner he pays us an extra $5 to hook up the Broadband adapters. We get the $5 regardless if the job asks for Directv Cinema or not. He built it into the kaku price (which Smart Circle pays him the same for kaku or basic installs).
The company I work for seems to hire anybody with a heartbeat and a van. All of us Vets that have been around know that new companies start off good until the HACKS causes them to make changes to cover their(Smart Circle) ass. I have been suggesting a tool inspection on all techs just to see who is bootlegging and who are legitimate. There has been an large amount of roll backs to hook up the Directv Cinema.
I love working for Smart Circle and I don't blame them for covering their ass but I can see right now by the end of the year Smart Circle is going to become a DirectSat or Multi-Band if they do not weed out these Hacks NOW!!!
