My opinion? See above. An amp that feeds a TAP, outside, in the air or in a ped, is a LINE AMP. Line amps are adjustable with pads/eqs and NOT just slope and/or gain pots. People call things differently sometimes based on what part of the country, how long in the biz, etc... For example there is a KISS, Peanut, connector splice etc and they are all the same thing. Just depends who you ask, where you ask, and when you ask as to what it is being called today.
