I have done hotel feeds in which I have installed house amps which amp up whole floors. I know that there is a amp called a house amp which goes in the residence or unit. Recently I was told by a supervisor that a amp that was amping up the signal at the tap was not called a house amp. He thought that I was talking about an amp in the residence not at the tap. He is convinced that a house amp is the small amp which amps the unit, but was sure that the amp at the tap was NOT called a house amp because it did not go in the unit. I know of a house amp to be for the unit or a bank of drops like in a hotel installation. Whats you opinion?
