I myself have only heard a house amp called for the little non adjustable (99% of the time) signal boosters. A line amp is what I call a hardline (coax) amp that has pads & eq's and is adjustable.
But that's just me. I've never heard any other variations of the names. What do you mean house amp for the floor?
