Re: 3-30-11

At least you have an answer to what led you to believe what you believe. I only ask that to learn. There may be something that someone can shed light on that I haven't heard. As I stated before, I was raised Catholic and as I grew older, began finding too many inconsistencies with their doctrine, and with all the other religious doctrines out there, common sense told me they could not ALL be right. They could all be wrong, but not all be right, so I undertook a serious effort to research any and all information I could get my hands on, and with the launch of the internet, that produced vast amounts. I came to believe what I believe only after being a contraryian, and not accepting what I learned unless I was able to verify the credibility of it. Through the course of this, I came to what I believe is a simple truth, and I continue to be open minded and search, study, and ask questions. It still boils down to faith until it can be proven as a hypothesis that scientific method can be applied to and proven. There is much of the Bible that has had exactly that happen over the last 100 years, and I believe will continue to happen at an accelerated pace as technology developes. There is an interesting read, by Ray Comfort, called scientific facts of the Bible. I respect your right to believe what is laid on your heart, and even more so, respect the fact that you served this country where I am free to pursue whatever religious beliefs I care to without persecution. Please understand that I am not trying to shove anything down anyone's throat. I firmly believe what I believe, for good reason, (in my mind anyway),and just want to share that with others, not trying to offend, or be judgemental.
