No where in any of my post have I ever said I do not believe that Jesus walked and taught upon the earth. No where have I ever said that I do not believe in God.
I do believe that the bible has been slanted by all the interpretations and translations over the centuries to help the church keep its power over men, be it political or financial, no matter what denomination you are.
I also believe Jesus was sacrificed by the church because he was screwing up their norm and messing with the balance of power.
I think he truly believed he was dieing for all mans souls.
Was he the son of God? Only the bible says that and I have already given you my view on that. Are we not all the children of God? Was not then Buddha a child of God?
What led me to the teachings of Buddha? My loathing of organized Christian religion and the vast array of hypocrites that dwell within.
I have also found peace within myself by practicing it. I thank my wife for that.
I know that you can spout many passages from the bible that you feel point out that I'm on the wrong path and that you are right. I have posted in another thread that you are indeed rock solid in your faith. That's cool, its harder and harder to find a person that stay true to their convictions.
The above may not be great answers to your questions, religion and politics are two subjects that tend to divide people.
I haven't come to this thread to pick fights, but yeah some of my posts are sarcastic. That I can't help I always see the sarcasm/humor in most if not all things. I guess God made me in his image so he must be a smart ass too..
As for my signature, I have already stated my thoughts on Jesus and as a Vet I know that many American soldiers have indeed died for our freedom.
If in the end I am wrong, well I guess that is something that God and I will sort out when we meet, but if I'm right then I get to come back and do it all over again.
