Some companies give you 14 days to install receivers, some 30. The clock starts from the time they issue it to you, so if you get a receiver on Jan 1st for example, you would need to use or return it by the 14th, or 30th, depending on how many days they give you to use it. If not used or returned, they will charge you for the cost of the receiver, and you do own it. If some of the receivers are on accounts, make sure you keep copies of the paper work.
