Thanks, I figured as much. I was justing hoping the tech's had changed with newer boxes, but as you say, copyrights and encryption forbid it.FYI, new Moto's have an eSATA port as well. If I had a DVR, I'd investigate if it's possible to save a show to an attached harddrive (via that port), which could then conceivably be moved to another DVR. I suppose that's a longshot though, doubt its firmware is there yet.
