Re: Here's One For You

Well I found the problem, it started with the first tech I sent out there not trouble shooting the problem correctly and continued with me not double checking his work.

He told me he changed out the node. This was only half true, he changed out the housing and put all the guts from the old node back into the new housing... After I found that out I installed a new return TX  and everything cleared right up.

He told me he did not have a TX with him when he changed out the node so he put the old one back in. After a few words about not being prepared to do a job when asked and to always take the time to make sure you have everything you need to do a job before you start. There may have been a comment about showing up to do a job with nothing but a idea said also.

Then the wasted man-hours for trouble shooting a problem that should have been a easy fix.

But I saw his parts request this morning and I don't think he'll show up to a job without the proper parts again, and I will always double check other peoples work from now on...Damn I got complacent and that's something I use to never do...Guess this government work is making me soft.

Anyway thanks to all of you for the help....

P.S. Greg didn't you and I work together in Detroit back in 99? Cable Technical Services out of Markham Canada
