It's not my interpretation, it's a fact. And you're either thinking about 1080p or you don't know what the heck you're talking about. It is theoretically impossible for a 1920x1080 image to be displayed legitimately on a 1080i monitor, as interlacing technology does not write 1080 horizontal lines per refresh, period.
I call it true 720i, but that's just me.
You're also wrong about Skype requiring a PC.
