Why would you boost the modem? .. You should never AMP a modem !!!!! you need to make sure that you do an ingress check on your drop.
Levels should be
50 upstream
-5.0dBmv to + 5.0dBmv Down stream
SNR 32 or better.....
look at the tap vaule to determing what your upstream should be at the tap.
I.e 23/4 tap add 20 -3 upstream should be 40 at the tap at 615mHZ. check all
your CHS FOR DOS 3.0.... MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL IN RANGE.
did you check you Quam and Ber and Mer?
I sure hope you went to the tap and caulate your drop loss..
using an amp and a eight way splitter make no sence !
