I also agree on lost equipment charges, contractors and employees both have systems in place. Employees get charged 35.00 for a Modem lost, the Prime you work for charges you 500.00, quit and your checks deducted the full amount. MSO charges the Prime 35.00 for that modem. Prime makes a profit off your missing modem. Its not sold to a pawn shop, its unless, a Didi box is charged at 1500.00 "sometimes 2500 for HDDVRs" to the installer, MSO to Prime cost 100.00 per Box, Prime profits at your misfortune. Dont see any wrong here? Thats an entire check for a missing box after working 15 days 6 days a week pushed to the mask by supervisors and the workload. Do it or leave. This is one 3 years ago this is today. Granted some Primes charge the price handed by the MSO. I commend those who do the right thing. I was talking about Mastec personal, not Cable for my example. I happened to have invoices from the MSO to the Prime during my time managing the office while the manager was sick. As for the business side of things.
I know plenty of family guys who are demanded to work weekends. Now we all know Cable and Sat have appointments on the weekends. But employee based operations have schedules for its employees to work those days and have off week days until they bid on different shifts. Cable and Sat demand 6 days a week. Id love to see all you cable guys not work Saturdays, I know a few will, but what will the Prime say. IT's work it or download. When my techs wanted weekends off it was requested and approved. To many, more than two, all others were denied and left to me to tell them talk to the manager, download or work. Its still this way today. MSO's have employees, Primes say they have contractors.
You asked what I am trying to change? I am changing things. I have the State, Local Gov, Unions and Low Voltage Ass's calling me to be the spoke person on this shady industry I so happened to be blackballed by a company's staff member for personal reasons.
Change is happening, I now know some company's are converting to employee based workers, the State is enforcing unlicensed workers. Leads are working 5 days a week now, Managers are less like the control freaks, BH doesn't directly deal with Subs/Leads anymore.
This is nothing personal against he tens of thousands of workers in Florida. I was put in this situation and Im seem to have the passion. I read motions that call me different names, motions that look like there written from a grade school kid on my Federal Suit. Just today there is around 200 others who support me. I go to a bar and the people next to me talk about how the owner got out of a recent DUI, the officer let him go, how this guy is creating a bunch of shit and he talks about me, not knowing Im the F-ing guys. Tell your Boat crew, which wear your White logo shirts to stop F-ing talking about me.

The more vocal I am the more people become aware of they have rights and its not someone holding the route above your head that speaks the wisdom.
Every action creates an opposite equal reaction. So many people really havent engaged in conversation with me only slander. I enjoyed your post, but maybe you might want to be in the shoes of those who worked for the Prime I did. Maybe your opinion would be more different. Or maybe you do. Alot of them pose as members to get information and print it out.
The only two company's that I hear good things about from people who work for them make me think there are people that care about its workers. I was lucky I worked my way from the trenches because of my skills. But as you read my posts. People want change, they wont say it in the meetings, but they talk about to me and for years Ive heard this is illegal, were employees, chargebacks are illegal, but no one person stood up until me.
If this offends you im sorry. My case is in Florida an only affects Florida, the Senate is pushing a bill to remove the safe heaven for company's found to misclassify its workers. I just hope it gets passed soon.
