keep in mind that diplexers will cut out the HD signal, other than that just stick to the basics, mast is plum, dish is aligned etc. and of course swap out that @#$@ b-band.  also, make sure the customer didn't attach the cable to one of those power strips with the cable in/out on it.  I am sure that a basic inspection of the entire system will get you pointed in the right direction.  Happy Hunting.
