Its not as much about getting paid, its more about getting paid a decent wage for the work you performed. Vague and varying QC demands. I knew a tech that was charged back for mortar dust on the ground block. I once got charged back on a ground block that wasnt perfectly level. These were in house fails. This is money that goes directly into the primes pocket, that the tech loses from his. I wonder how many contractor tell thier techs that billing codes were cut, but in reality kept them. Charging a tech for a failed survey, based on a automated computer call and a subs personal opinion, and not informing the tech which of his customers failed him. Most techs I know can barely afford gas to run his route, yet the managers roll up in new trucks, decked out. It seems that the managers stay busy posting ads for more techs knowing that it wont be long before their current roster learns of thier cross dealings and leaves in hopes of finding a better one.
