First of all, you probably should not be managing if you don't understand how it works.HSP = Home Service Provider, meaning DirecTV contracts a company to do their install/service in specific regions called DMA, based off zip codes and population density...ISP...im guessing this is internet service providerRetailer = businesses that sell DTV or other services to customers, this would be like the ad's you see in papers, or small shops in strip malls that sell services, and get a commissionFulfillment = people that actually go install the system, normally sub contractors, that are contracted to complete the work. How it all fits together: Potential customer wants to get service, they have 2 choices, they can call a retailer, or call the Service Provider...example, they can call Chucks satellite TV, or they can call DirecTV. Customer places the order, the retailer or provider completes the sale, sets up a time/date for the installation. Now if it is a DirecTV sale ( not a retailer ) it is sent into their routing system, which directs the work order to the proper DMA, the office in charge of that DMA gives the work to a tech to complete the installation. If a Retailer sales the service, they generally send their own techs out to do the work, either way, this is the fulfillment part. If I missed anything feel free to chime in....i did not go in to the whole payment/chargeback process, don't have all night..
Never argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
