Never dealt with Prince.........only MASTEC, DirectSATUSA, a little IRONWOOD and some other similar entities.This afternoon, while not installing for anyone I watched a piece on the DISCOVERY Channel on a Directv channel. A German company was shown operating a million$ + rig digging tunnel sections. A good crew could install 18 sections per shift. One crew installed 31 to set a world record! So the next scene was in an employee feeding area where a manager said, "...on behalf of the whole company and its' owners we congratulate you and thank you...!" There was a nice lunch and beer for all. Good performance got a reward.
The American satellite & CATV model would have cut wages and doubled the quota, firing anyone who got close to a new and higher production goal to avoid having to pay any bonus or even pay for the beer. Having cut wages and increased expectations management would congratulate each other on how well they had managed to survive without the competent workers they had caused to quit. When the company failed to get new work they could blame the whiners who quit.
Or I could be wrong.
