I'm curious why you placed the carrier so close to the gaurd band.  You can insert a carrier in the output test point of the node at 20 mhz with about 40db of insertion (SDA 5000 or other device with a transmitter capability).  Have someone in the head end read the level at 20mhz just before the cmt.  0db would be ideal.  I would pad the tx and use 0 pads in the return locations of the node.  If neccessary use a pencil pad between the head-end receiver and the cmt or combining network.  Be aware of the test point loss of 20 db on the head end receiver if that is where you check the level.
