Alright, what is a lead tech, other than just a glorified service tech? I mean if someone is a lead tech, shouldn't he or she be familiar with all aspects of the physical plant and be able to perform above average work in all the disciplines, from installations to maintenance. And shouldn't all work be up to SCTE and NCTI standards? And shouldn't part of his or her job description be to train and assist the lessor skilled technicians? Shouldn't he or she be highly skilled and knowledgable about how the system operates, and have the knowledge and skills to repair or correct all system problems?
