Satellite question....

My father in law recently got all new recievers for his DTV, supposed to be local HD recievers,  Hooked them up and you can get all channels ecept HD channels.  It is on a brand new HDTV using the HDMI cable.  Just cant get the HD channels, is this an LNB or dish compatability prob?  Does he need to change his dish and/or LNB?  Thanks for any input...Jarhead.
