Not that I agree with it and that's why I won't do Hughes for anyone but myself, but I was told that when the research was done, Hughes estimated that only 25% of new customers needed a pole and the rest were upsold. Apparently, retailers were not reporting the number of poles installed to Hughes. They finally were fed up with all the complaints that the customer was not informed about any extra cost and was then swayed to have a pole mount over a roof mount. I went to a hughes install the other day for DTV and the idiot drove the pole in the ground next to the wall it was going through. the didn't ground it or mark the lines for forward and return. Sorry guys, but if you are going to be a slammer jammer then get out because all you are doing it hurting the ones that actually do their job right. I hope I got his butt fired!
