The wife and I are considering buying some land in the country and building a house. We've been looking into a underground home for several reasons, cheaper to maintain, cheaper to heat and cool and so on.
I have seen lots of pictures and video of different homes but I have never actually been in one.
So I'm asking have any of you out there ever worked, lived, or otherwise been in one of these places? If so what did you think of it? Do you think it is worth the extra expense to build one?
It's not like we're going to decide to do this tomorrow, I have a lot more research before I spend that kind of money but I would like to hear from some people who have been in one of these places.
