Are both devices hooked to the router getting IP addresses ? If both are getting different addresses in the same range/domain then that's good. Next if only one device is pulling an IP address if that address is the outside address then the router is set in bridge mode and needs to be changed.
I was going to say if the router has remote access capability and you could it up for that I'd be happy to dial in and look for you. Also it needs to be taken out of default settings as it's wireless and anybody could hop on to that router and mess with the settings. As well somebody could connect to your access and download music, movies, software illegally and they get to pay the bill if it gets caught. Or worse they could file share kiddie porn and they'll get nabbed.
