I agree with you one hundred percent. You have hit on the head. The only ones making money in this business are the ones that are ripping off someone. Once upon a time you could make money in this business, not no more. All you do now is survive and bitch about it. Back in 1986 I had a new truck, nice things to wear, the best boots money could buy. I rented out a expensive apartment to live in and thought I had it made, and I did. I made 2000 a week or more, and at that time that kind of money was good. People would ask me, where did you go to school to learn that trade, and I would say it is on the job training. If you work in the cable industry you are digging your own grave and wont have a pot to twinkle in at the end of the day. If the union can do anything at all for the cableman I say it is good.
