Well I thought Id be the first to share this information. State of Florida is taking action for unlicensed telecommunications workers one of Florida which might be the largest operations in Florida . Are there new barking orders from the newly Elected Governor Rick Scott? Has his new team made it clear for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation to bring companies into compliance with State Licensing Laws. Or has this issue been overlooked for years. Both industries are being targeted Satellite and Cable companies alike who use subcontract labor to full-fill its installation work orders. Even the SBCA members website outlines for each of its members the State requirements for licensing on its website, it advises to make sure your in compliance with the State, County your working in to avoid fines and possible criminal charges for unlicensed activity. Is this a good change or about time they enforced the all ready on the books law. If all the companies are issued stop work orders, what would this do to the industry? But with all the misclassification issues coming out, you cant have it both ways I guess. Were contractors, not employees. How can you be a legal contractor when your breaking the law, cant get a occupational license and advertises in the phone book with it. Double edged sword I think. To find out if your state requires a low voltage license this site has a easy to use websitehttp://www.nlvca.org/
