is working for directpath a scam

i see adds and even talk to some these guys, they dont talk about pay and dont seem to no.  they have no offices, no stock to do the work, from what i here everyboby getting ripped off, and 84 different ways your not gonna get paid.......isnt there a law to rid these mastec style people...
