I could make a 1300 foot drop work for cable modem only. IF ( Key word IF ) the forward docsis carrier is at 550 Mhz to hit the modem at -15 we will need a +24 out of the tap Not unheard of. the return loss will be about 12 I see no issues. For comfort zone I would hit the drop a tad higher say about 27. You need to buy a tech some beer and see if he can help you out. If this is a big MSO I doubt you will be able to get any help.
Anyone want to hear how we used to power a remote headend over the 1 inch MC2 trunk with 400 volts on the center conducter. Actaully it may still be running this way.
