Old Magnavox amps

This one is for the old dawgs..   Here in my system, we are running old Magnavox 330 Mhz and 450s.    I can get the trunk side of the amp running clear but the bridger side is over driving.  I tried setting the amp up on the truck to run 37/32 and it runs great.  When I check the bridger with a signal at 45/38, I get over drive.  I'll drop the signal on the trunk to 32/28 and drop the bridger to 42/36 and still no change.  My input side of the amp is running allover the place from 15/20 to 5/10 and my distance run from 1200' to 2200'.  This is also running from 30-70 amp cascade depending on the area.
