Chances are it will be or was awarded to Ervin Cable Construction because they are the most solid and financially solid company in the area to support a 500 mile turnkey job, plus they meet all the FEMA Requirement to prime for the Federal Government even tho it is a stimulus job it is still a Federal Job.
After reading more into the MCNC project it sounds like the little guys will still get the table scraps.
Years ago you could go to the Commscope or Siecor web sites and see who was placing large orders for fiber & coax
you could enter a range of batch numbers and it would give a listing of type, footage, vendor and est. ship date or you could search by MSO
and that's how I knew when someone was getting ready for a rebuild or new build.
