Has anyone heard the name of the companies that were ''selected as finalist'' by MCNC for the approx. 500 miles of construction in North Carolina ? Doesn't it seem a little irregular that it is such a ''big secret'' especially since it is Federally funded with ''our taxpayer dollars'' as the state, D.O.T.'s, cities and federal governments post the bid tabulations on the bigger majority of their projects? How is it promoting the economy , helping small businesses and overcoming the bust of the big companies like ENRON, Worldcom, Countrywide Mortgage etc. The government was supposed to change all this to keep from irrularities are these people at MCNC ''above the law'' . With this type of monkey business the rich will only get richer and the small contractors will get the crumbs ''again'' If you feel the same please reply as this has a extremely foul smell to it almost like s_ _t.
