The kid was acting like an idiot, no doubt. But the post isn't about that, its the fact that he faces 16 years for filming and posting a video of a police officer in a not so kind light. It has become law in certain places that citizens may not film police. Let's change the circumstances and say the officer was doing something completely out of bounds legally. (i.e. brutality etc.) it sounds as though the person doing the video taping would be facing the same charge as this kid. What he did to attract the attention of the police in the first place is irrelevant, it is the fact that he posted the video that has him in hot water and it seems the original offense (speeding reckless op ) is not the issue. You don't face 16 years for reckless op. That's what I see anyway.
