Re: SA GS7000 1GHZ Node S/N Issue

i was involved in tracking down a prob like that. it ended up being someones cell phone that they used their computers USB to charge their phone. the alarm on his phone went off at 8:35AM every morning and when it was plugged in it would send a power surge thru the computer, the cable modem, and all the way back to the node his drop was off. took us 2 weeks to track it back to his house and we couldn't believe that was the issue until we watched it happen in front of our eyes. the guy reset his phone alarm and we all waited to see if that was really it and it was. sure as heck the guys alarm went off at 8:57AM and his tv and modem went down until he turned the alarm off.  craziest thing i have seen in this biz to this point. guy went to the cell store and got a new phone that day.

burn a new pigtail, replace the transmitter, and see if the prob persist. you may have to kill a leg at a time from the node at 9AM for several days to track down the source. if it is on one of the legs start tracking it towards the source leg until you find it.

also, Saber is right it could be a combiner or splitter in the HE as well.
