Yes this is True for the IRS Splicer
Case in point:
On my paychecks from the last company I worked for only gave a check which only shows a dollar amount, granted each two weeks we get a addition and deduction sheet showing whats been added and taken away.
I ran a report showing all deductions and it amounted to over 11,000 on one tech. This included backcharges, missing equipment and training pay deductions. These are not reflected on the 1099 he received.
So his 1099 read 72k for the year this is after over 11k was deducted so his income is? 83K total and he needs to claim the 11k backcharges.
So heres my point hes claiming 72k and the chargebacks sort of like double dipping? Amoung other false deductions.
Whos to blame? The prime for not properly documenting it on the 1099 as total money earned rather than adding up all the paychecks. I just went through my deposits for the past 3 years while working with them and the 1099's reflects my check totals not my total money earned without the chargebacks. Theres a huge diff in numbers. I bill 200.00 Prime pays me 200.00 but takes 50.00 of that and only reports I was paid 150. Thats shady.
