Unless there is some new loophole I don't know about, hell no. As a contractor you are solely responsible for any job you do or anyone you employ does therefor damages can be taken from retainage. As an employee the company is responsible for anything that you do. If you screw up a job they can counsel you, retrain you, write you up etc. or fire you but they can't take money from you. Watch out.
