I have to say I agree. May suck at first for you guys down there, but the ones who get off there arse and go get the licence can prosper. Bout time somebody looked into this crooked industry. Be nice if they would limit the amount of licences per county. If you take any pride in your skills surely you think its worth having to be certified to do it? I say they should make it as strict as an electrician.
And nobody can do the work unless they are state certified and licenced.
Not only should you embrace this law, you should premote it. Good job to the tech who had enough.
Drive yourself down, fill out the paperwork and get your licence, asap.
