'N' router wont help if the device isn't 'n' compatible. Go to KMart and buy the cheapest wireless router they got. 1)unplug everything 2)plug in modem and connect to router 3)when modem locks, plug in router. 4)when router locks, connect pc and vonage and power them up. done.
Next you gotta secure the wireless somehow. Easist way: open internet explorer, type in 192.168.1.1 (if that aint it try 192.168.0.1). username is admin, password is password (or admin).
click around into 'wireless settings' and find one that says "SSID". Change this to something you'll remember, like 'ballbag'
Next click around in 'wireless stetting' or possibly 'advanced settings' and find a little check box that says "SSID Broadcast"- turn it off. ... your router will still broadcast signal, but will not advertise itself.
(if you think you screwed it up, hit the 'reset' button on back and try again)
all you gotta do is search wireless networs on the ipod and connect to the one called *closed* type in 'ballbag' as the name and you're in.
or call comcast and pay $150
