Wtf!

Been working on a guberment job placing fiber. We were working inside a new building, which is under construction. There are all different kinds of tradesmen working on this project, drywall, electric, painters, ect.. Anyway, these two guys in suits with brand new shinny hard hats, come up to us and asked us for proof of US citizenship. WHAT? You got to be kidding me. Had to show them our drivers licence and SS card. They said that they were doing random checking for illegals. My co-worker did not have his SS card with him, and was told he would not be allowed on site until he could show one. Right across the hall from us were 5 mexican looking guys, speaking spanish, hanging drywall. Now,, these suits walked right by those mexicans, didn't even stop to check them. What the fuck kind of shit is that?
