That is truly sad.  I have worked mad hours for many many days straight before.  I do not doubt that his check will be back charged.  Hopefully his life insurance  pays out a larger sum since he died while at work.   I think my life insurance does, or is supposed to.  I was an installer for many years and it is one of the most demanding jobs I've had.  The sad part is that today you can't even make a decent dollar because of all the profit-loss programs primes have in place.  The line items are crap compared to what they paid ten years ago.  As far as legal or illegal is concerned, most of the primes I subbed to had no fear of such things. 
  Georges family has my prayers.  I hope that the powers that be will wake up and treat installers as humans as opposed to beasts of burden.
