I also have family that is in the oil business. I have 2 brothers, one a exploration geologist, the other who is an engineer that both work for Halliburton.
What happened in the Gulf was not an accident. It was caused by negligence. A shortcut by BP in capping the well.
You seem like an intelligent person. Take a look at the environmental impact statement for ANWR.
Again, oil companies go where the oil is. If it wasn't profitable for the oil companies to be in the Gulf, they would not be there.
As for Faux News, their reporting is slanted to the right. They tend to misrepresent the facts toward the right. They are not "fair and balanced" as they claim.
