Re: Why?

I guess upon first reading your post I felt the same. However, after giving it some thought, I have changed my opinion.  Thomas DOES have the right to free speech. She has NOT been imprisoned. She hasn't even actually been terminated. She resigned. I'm sure she was pressured to resign. But....oh well. Although she wasn't using her job as a conduit to express her opinion, it was because of her position that she was questioned.
Hypothetical.......Say I'm a Comcast tech, I have freedom of speech to express my opinion that Dish Network is better. However, it would not be in my best interest to voice my opinion in certain circles. Comcast is not obligated to employ me if I endorse the competition.
Only a hypothetical...

Also I do not necessarily agree with her. And I share your opinion about the BS political correctness.
