Yeah, Cox has definitely taken a turn for self destruction! I have contracted for years for Cox in SW Va, and in the beginning the prices were good, but over the years they have been cut back many times! Now Im at the point to where its just not worth it anymore! We go by the point system so for example, a phone install used to be 20 points, but recently were cut back to 12, so we are losing eight dollars on every phone install, and disconnects now pay 2 dollars! Thats not even worth getting your ladder of the truck! They also cut our travel pay out so I guess they figure gasoline is so cheap that we dont need to be paid for that anymore! Whoever the so called "big wig" is needs to be slapped and have some sense knocked in to them! The in-house guys get a 400 dollar bonus each month for keeping their points up, lol, what points! All they do is show up at a job and do as little as they can and turn in the rest for the contractors to go do! What a joke!
