We are a Dish and DirecTv sales company in Louisiana. We are also an established LLC in Louisiana, as well as listed with the parish our company is located. On April, 21 a customer called from one of our ads and said she could not get her Dish to work. I informed her, as we do with every customer, that since she was not our customer that there would be $95.00 service call plus any parts and of course she agreed. It ended up being a bad remote so i sold her a 322 remote for $25.00 making her total $120.00. This morning I get a call from a detective from our sheriffs dept stating I either had to refund her money or go to jail for "theft by fraud" because, according to him, he called Dish and they informed him that if a tech was at a customers house without a Dish Network van, they needed to be arrested. Please leave some feedback on this, as to whether or not this has happened to anyone and what you did.
