im no expert at it neither but the way it works is u have one line going off the dish to ur splitter wheather that be a 2way 4way or 8way then the red port (1st port) on the splitter goes to ur main tv usually hddvr or hd but before it actually goes to ur box it goes through a power inserter then goes to the box. Its not like dish how u use 1 reciever and jump off it to diffrent rooms.
So does anyone know if this works just hooking 1 line to main reciever?
