Re: question about getting screwed

Once you get a judgment most people forget about the bond, if they don't pay up go after the bond to get the money for your judgment. The bond is set up so that if they don't pay their bills, there is something for the creditors (which you would be after the judgment) to get. You have options if you want to take the time to pursue them, keep in mind there will be hard feelings and they may try to give payback at a future date (like when another potential employer calls them about a reference).
