The best way I found ingress back in my service tech days was:
1) Go to Ground Block. Hook meter to GB in the direction that tests back into the house.
2) Tune meter to a local channel that's been leaking into the customer's television. Or channels 95, 96, and 97 if you suspect interference from a local radio station.
3) If you have signal higher than -20 dBmV, you've found your ingress ingress.
4) Start disconnecting drops from the splitter until ingress goes away. That's your bad line.
5) If steps 1-4 don't work, attach a barrel with a terminator at the GB side of the drop, go to the tap and check from there. If ingress is found, the drop needs to be replaced.
