While I am not a woman I have 3 step daughters and i think I understand women on some level anyway one of my step daughters was date raped with that date rape drug and until you experience that first hand (either as a woman or a parent) it is difficult to understand and I believe that out of sheer terror she didn't call police right away.
As far as not finding him for two day's that just seems like shoddy police work or like this guy says he is a ghost who knows if his address is even accurate.
I am NOT an expert on women at all but that is my take on the delay I will bet she was terrified
